It was the big bucks at Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft that commandeered the the most attention, but tucked away on the E3 show floor was the sequel to a game which has picked up a very loyal PC audience over the years. I’m talking about none of than Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord of course, the feudal themed open-world RPG which promises to swallow up hundreds of hours of our time.

The new gameplay footage shown at E3 highlighted Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord’s siege system, wth a total of more than 350 AI allies charging head-first at a castle, backed up by trebuchets, battering rams, ballistas, and the odd flaming ball of tar.

Looks awesome I’m sure you’ll agree, and quite a bit improved visually over the original. It’s been in development a long time however, originally announced back in 2012, and there’s still no release date to speak of just yet.
