DOOM is a fast paced, well optimised first person shooter by Bethesda and id software. Its up there as one of the challengers for Game Of The Year 2016. When a gamer buys a new $299 GPU, like the Nvidia GTX 1060, we are going to want to know that it will comfortably handle the top games of today. So lets take a look at the GTX 1060 Founders Edition our DOOM gameplay benchmark videos and see how well it can run at 1080p and 1440p screen resolutions. We will then compare the 1060 Founders Edition benchmark results against the MSI GTX 1060 version to see what extra we can get from an overclocked version of the card.

It's a bit of a moot point running DOOM at 1080p on a GTX 1080. The card is limited by the CPU/driver at that framerate/resolution. Run at 1440p and you'll see a better perf/price ratio as the framerates are actually not far from the 1080p run.
