CD Projekt RED Announce The Witcher 3: Game Of The Year Edition - Out This Month

If somehow, I don’t know how, but somehow, you’ve managed to resist playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the last 15 or so months, now might be the perfect time to jump in. I say this because CD Projekt RED has confirmed what we’ve all been pretty sure of for some time - The Witcher 3 Game of Year Edition is launching later this month.

Those who haven’t bought the game before will be able to pick up the Complete Edition for $50 on PC, PS4 or Xbox One. In it you get a frankly obscene amount of game for your money, including the base game, 16 additional DLC packs, Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine. The expansions alone could probably last you a good 60 hours, and I have a feeling Blood & Wine will be up for a few game of the year awards itself later in the year.

So there you have it. If for some reason you’ve been holding out then there’s never been a better time to get stuck into The Witcher 3. If you’re thinking of giving it a buy, remember to head to The Witcher 3 game page to compare its system requirements with your specs and discover your estimated performance.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition is out on August 30th.

Can we expect this one to have like a small amount of discount or something during the Winter Sale?

It will most likely receive a 50% discount, I would not hold my breath and expect more.

Great! The best thing about this edition is that I will not have to deal with all those compulsory patches when I reinstall the game.

The game is great but i spend the first 5h troubleshoting and tweaking. Thats the pcmasterrace life of a mid ranged pc gamer. The game has a lot of issues if you dont have a high end machine. I was hyped and this ruined my experience with the game to some extend. So just an advice, dont get too hyped

WHAT?! he should get very hyped.... like SUPER DUPER HYPED! this game is amazing. It will go down as a classic, one of the best games of all time. once he gets the 480 he should be able to max the game 40-60 fps(unless his cpu throttles it).

On a seperate note; i want to see if i can help with the problems you are having or have you fixed them already? If you message me i would be more than happy to help you out.

The game is actually surprisingly well optimized, and the updates have only made it better. I haven't upgraded since the 750Ti and according to GD I should only be able to barely run it but I get like 45 fps on High.

Yeah dude. CDPR is a computer gaming company. The producer of Witcher 3 (Damien Monneir) Said he would rather play Witcher 3 on the PC at minimum settings then play on the console.

Shocker to no one.

They could just call this the "Game Of The Decade" Edition and they wouldn't be wrong.

So, referring back to this piracy article that exploded a week ago. If you'd get quality and quantity per dollar that we got with The Witcher 3, nobody would be pirating anything.

I think I'll buy a GOTY Hard Copy as a keepsake.

what if the reason is weak rig? (not my problem luckily, but still the game is quite heavy, even my previous GTX770 barely manages smooth 30fps 1080p at tweaked high settings)

Played this trough on PS4, but it was almost a year ago, so would be nice to play this again with all the DLC, now that I have a PC that is up to the task :)

My serious recommendation is that you crank up your settings and lock the game at 30 fps. I did that and it was buttery smooth with a nearly identical system. Very enjoyable. Very consistent. Very beautiful.

Ye, man! So many scenarios where Geralt can just say "not my business" or "I don't care" so I'm always intrigued what will happen with the world if I play as a lazy uncaring f*ck :D

I got the base game bundled with my GPU (wch proves that the best things in lyf are free!), so I only paid cad$25 for the whole thing. Great deal for more than 100hrs of gameplay (not counting replaying the game).
Highly recommended. If you are on the fence about buying this, dont be. Just pull the trigger!

The game is amazing and the visuals are stunning if your PC can handle it. The game is only $20 for base game or $33 for all expansions included on Instant-gaming. But I'd wait and see the price for the GOTY edition before buying.

CDPR won, on average, 2 GOTY awards a day for Witcher 3 in 2015 - that should tell you something...

Sooo the GOTY only includes all the DLCs, Expansions, and updates? Meh. Kinda wishing they'd make the Enhanced Edition like the previous games, because they actually enhanced it with new quests, scenes, gameplay, etc.

Well, I'm sure if they were going to give the full game some major enhancements, we wouldn't be getting them for free. Besides there's so much content already, roughly what 5-6 other open world games offer in one package, hard to top that.

Eh, the Enhanced Edition of the previous installments came as a free update for those who already bought the game. It wouldn't hurt them if they follow the same path as before, would it?
