Fallout 4: Nuka-World Trailer Doesn't Let The Apocalypse Get In The Way Of A Good Time

The weird and wonderful world of Fallout 4 is come to a close this month with arrival of the sixth and final add-on - Nuka-World. In it players take a trip around a huge post-apocalyptic theme park, which in truth doesn’t look all that different to the last time I went to Disneyland Paris. All it’s lacking is the cold, dead look of an entertainer with his Goofy hat off having a ciggie round the back of Space Mountain.

I have to admit, any sort of theme park in games is always a win for me. Nuka-World will take players on a slightly warped tour of places like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Galactic Zone and Kiddie Kingdom. It’s not just a saccharine-tinged day out either, Nuka-World is littered with an array of raiders, mutants and settlements to conquer.

Nuka World is coming to Fallout 4 on August 30th. It’s going to be available for £14.99 on its own, or as part of Fallout 4’s £40 season pass.

Loved all the DLC's in Skyrim, even Hearthfire, but I am pretty disappointed with the DLC's for FO4. Far Harbor was alright, but at least Story wise not close to as interesting as Skyrim's 2 story DLC's were, this looks pretty stupid to me.

I don't really feel like writing a paragraph explaining my reasons, but let's just say that Fallout 4 wasn't up to the standards I had for them and it was far far worse than what they hyped up

Fallout 4 and it's DLCs were a major disappointment this time around to me. So far, the only DLC worth getting is Far Habor and this one, Nuka-world being the dlc that allows you to make bad decisions, which should had been a feature already in the main game. Bethesda has fallen real low.

I also liked the one with the Mechanist and the Vault Tec one. I have had lots of fun with both, but they are not the traditional Bethesda style DLC that we are accustomed to. Out of all the Fallout games so far the DLC from New Vegas was the best, & Bethesda didn't even develop that one themselves. I love their games, but as they have acquired more dev teams and more IPs the quality of their original franchises have suffered.

I've heard the Vault dlc is nothing more but a paid mod. I don't really understand Bethesda marketing strategy there. This just shows me that Bethesda is out of ideas. I just think instead of making these half-ass, short dlcs, they could have put all that effort into something unique that actually fits into the Fallout world. I find it hard to believe that some vault dweller with a bunch of town people managed to build an entire vault, where as the BOS and Enclave have not been able of doing that themselves. I also liked the DLCs from New vegas, though

I prefer Fallout 3's. Mothership ZETA was just an awesome experience that took you out of Fallout, while in a way making you feel right at home. The atmosphere was just right. Even if it was technically "out of this world" the dlc managed to keep that Fallout atmosphere. When I look at Fallout 4, I'm not sure what it's trying to be. I hate to call it, but it seems Fallout is losing it's charm. My only hope is that Obsidian makes a sequel to New Vegas or something.

So now the game is close to being finished which means that I will soon start using mods on this game. I never try mods on games until they are completely finished because the official updates almost always break the mods. So basically Fallout 4 is about to get it's second wind for me. XD

Dude, i played fallout 4 when i was going through chemo and now i can't play it without feeling sick :( It was a fun game, but man feeling sick constantly keeps me from it, and it makes me sad. This DLC sounds fun.

My sympathies as well. Reading "was going through chemo" I'm hoping it's over and done with now? All better?
Is it just Fallout 4 or other games as well?

For me there wasn't a single DLC worth buying, maybe Far Harbour but I am not even sure about that, I mean I finished the main story after like 1 hour or so and I finished pretty much everything after maybe 5-10. All the other DLC's including this one so far seem really boring to me

Are you sure you finished the main story in about 1 hour? Are you speedrunning?

holy crap man. we have a speedrun winner over here. 1 hour seriously? I spent like 40 hours on the main story alone and there's still stuff left to do.

Wasn't I talking about dlc's only?.. I got like 200h in fo4 and the main story of the main game is pretty damn long, I was referring to the far harbor mainquest of course

How honest is your statement abt finishing Fallout 4 so quickly? 1 hour is unbelievable.

Have you read what I wrote? I am ONLY talking about the DLC's, even more precisely about the only real story DLC.

I have well over 100 hours in Fallout 4 so far and I still haven't finished even half of the main story. So either you are lying or you don't know how to enjoy an open world game like Fallout.

I haven't beat it yet either and I have spent a good 30 hours or so over there. Why are you rushing through a game like Fallout instead of exploring and doing some side quest, and faction missions? If all you want to do is speed run through a game then Bethesda games are not for you. There are plenty of games out there for that, but they are not Fallout or Elder Scrolls.

And I am not rushing g at all, but after exploring the island for some hours I made the main quest of the dlc and it was like 1h or so only. Of course the whole island and the other quests are maybe even more important than the main quest of the dlc, that's why I said maybe far harbor was worth buying.

Took me around 10 hours to finish Far Harbor's main story, that DLC has at least 3 endings and I only finished one of them. Not to mention all the really interesting side quests. Fallout isn't all about the story, I have 300 hours total and I guarantee you I have not played the main quest more than once.
