Complete List Of PlayStation 4 Pro Compatible Games

Written by Neil Soutter on Sun, Sep 11, 2016 10:00 AM

Sony was keen to make a big song and dance of the capabilities of its upgraded Polaris GPU in the PS4 Pro, but if you splash out $400 on a new console and potentially $1000+ for a new TV, just what games are going to benefit from the upgrade?

Some of the lists going round are a little bit flaky, but here’s a definitive list of all games up to this point which have PS4 Pro support confirmed. A few of them you’ll notice are already out. They’ll receive patches when the PlayStation 4 Pro launches in order to provide enhanced visuals, resolution, HDR support or smoother frame rates.

Complete List of PS4 Pro Compatible Games

  • Battlefield 1
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
  • Days Gone
  • Death Stranding
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
  • Dishonored 2
  • The Elder Scrolls Online
  • Farpoint
  • FIFA 17
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • For Honor
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn
  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
  • Infamous: First Light
  • Killing Floor 2
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Mantis Burn Racing
  • Mass Effect Andromeda
  • Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
  • Paragon
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2017
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Resident Evil 7
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Spider-Man
  • Steep
  • Titanfall 2
  • Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Watch Dogs 2
  • The Witness

How each of these games is going to implement these changes varies from game to game. From the demo showcase at PlayStation Meeting it looks as if PS4 Pro owners will actually be able to choose from a number of presets in Rise of the Tomb Raider according to their preferences, while The Witness owners will have to settle for a bump from 900p to 1080p resolution and what will no doubt be some gorgeous HDR support.

If you're still deciding on whether to upgrade your PC or splash out on a 4K TV and a PS4 Pro, hopefully our versus can help.

I've always been a PlayStation owner since the PS1, but since the new PS4 is not going to have a UHD blu ray player, I might go with the Xbox. Was really looking forward to playing The Last of Us in a higher res :(

What does UHD blu-ray player has anything to do with The Last of Us?

Probably that he wanted to play the Last of Us, but now that PS4P doesn't have UHD Blu Ray support, he thinks it's not worth for him to get PS4 since UHD Blu Rays would have been a key feature for him.

Same here but I'm still sticking with Sony...
When UHD movie prices eventually drop I'm pretty sure Sony has a compatible drive in the PS ;)

Actually, Last of Us remastered has been confirmed to receive PS4P update, so is Black Ops 3, so there are at least few confirmed games missing from this list.

If it's running at upscaled 4K, then expect 30fps. If there's 1080p option, then 45-60fps...

wouldn't they be better of to make a playstation 5 instead and release it in 2017- 2018 and start making trailer of it end 2016 that way customers won't move to pc either since that is their worries and why the ps4 pro came.

I very rarely pay full price for console games either. Thanks to option to sell/trade games I don't need, I have gotten bunch of games with no charge by borrowing from friends. And for example Witcher 3 that I bought for PS4 on release day costed me 30€, not bad price i'd say :)

So yeah, I'm happy to spend since I don't need to spend too much :)

Me too, I waited so long for PS4 version of KF2, but got bored of waiting this summer and just bought the PC version. It's nice seeing it finally coming to PS4, but for some reason, I don't really like it much, KF1 was much better game IMO :(

The PS4 pro will play all PS4 games, just not all old games will be improved. But I thing I remember hearing that all games launched after October 1st must have a standard and pro setting.

Why would they not be improved? They surely must at least run at a higher framerate. Are you implying that all the console games have locked framerates?

They might run better but games with a locked framerate that haven't been improved will still be limited to 30FPS (albeit more stable) and won't look any different than they did originally

That is very disappointing, especially if they leave even a single game unpatched.

then the standard settings will run on medium 1080p 60fps and the PRO settings will run on high 1080p 30fps?

Will Infamous Second Son have a ps4 pro patch too or is it only the DLC Last Light? I ask because Last Light is more of a game of it's own rather than DLC.

Game development has gotten so bad that these, otherwise needless, questions must be asked since developers are making DLC before a game is even finished.

They demoed Last Lights PS4P patch at their conference, so that's probably why it's confirmud and Second Son isn't. I would personally expect that if LL gets the update SS will also :)

Though I could spent 1000€ on a 4k TV, i'll rather take a 500-600€ 4k PC monitor, and use it with both my PS4P and PC :)

I wonder if the comments "a $399 console smashes a $3000 PC cuz it plays 4K!" are already out there? PS4P is toxic, it's the only way I can describe it :/

Nope, those statements are quite rare. Most console players really don't care about PC gaming at all. No reason to feel insecurity :)

A little percent of console players ever touch PC but most of those who do touch PC makes statements like "a $399 console smashes a $3000 PC cuz it plays 4K!". It is how i differentiate "console fanboys" from "console gamers".

Everyone I know who plays on console doesn't really care. As in, PC gaming doesn't even cross their radar at all. It's the way it should be. Just game where you want and don't worry about what other people are doing / enjoy.

I have a ps4 and a pc and I can say that most console gamers don't feel like that-They couldnt care less and the pro is just letting people who already have a 4k tv play at an upscaled resolution and look considerably better for a low price

Can I play all those games on PC? Why yes, yes I can; at least those that interest me. Strange things are happening.
PS Pro will use his puppet PS to destroy the people of Master race. PS4 has been unleashed. The strength of the Master Race is failing.Master Race begins to understand. The quest will claim his life. You know this. You have foreseen it. It is the risk we all took. In the gathering dark, the will of the Peasants grow strong. It works hard now to find its way back into the hands of Lower Race.
Peasants, who are so easily seduced by its power

Usually those who choose PC are the most knowledgeable on this type of matter and will not be easily persuaded.
