Another year, another attempt from the folks at Kylotonn Games to attempt to dethrone the mighty Dirt as the premier rally racing series. WRC 6 FIA World Rally Championship brings the official endorsed rally racing championship to PC this October, letting budding race drivers attempt versions of all the official 2016 season rallies, including the new China stages for the first time. Don't get caught stuck out of gear though, here's the official WRC 6 PC system requirements so you can check your rig's ready to race.
WRC 6 Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-2115C 2.00 GHz or AMD Athlon II X3 455 3.3 GHz
- RAM: 4 GB System Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX or AMD Radeon HD 5750
- DX: DirectX 11
- HDD: 25 GB Available Hard Drive Space
WRC 6 Recommended System Requirements
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8150 3.6 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290
One of those sets of system requirements which is disappointing for high-end users but perhaps great for low-end rigs. For better or for worse, World Rally Championship 6 has the exact same system requirements as WRC 5, save for a DirectX 11 minimum requirement. On the plus side this means if you could run WRC 5, you can play WRC 6. On the downside this means there probably isn't all that much different from a visual standpoint whatsoever from last year's outing.
As for the system requirements for WRC 6, they are extremely low in the context, particularly the minimum. Roughly speaking they're about the same as Dirt Rally too, so you need not let system requirements swing you one way or another as to which to pick. Recommended requirements are obviously a jump up but if you can still use a decade old graphics card like a GeForce GTX 9800 GTX then you an basically get away with any pseudo-modern gaming system.
Remember, you can always check out how well your PC can run the WRC 6: FIA World Rally Championship System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the WRC 6: FIA World Rally Championship GPU benchmark chart.

good requirements, but WRC:5 was quite disappointing IMO, let's hope this one is great.

Those are some great minimum requirements! People with high end rigs may be a bit dissapointed (altough I think the GTX 780 is still fairly high end for recommand requirements) Love it whens devs make their games so everyone is able to play them :D

I thought 9800 GTX was a DirectX 10 card...

i hate it when system requirements do that
it leaves me confused on whether i can run the game or not

That's why it is better to wait for actual benchmarks :D Lately devs just extagerrate with system requirements. What made them to do so, absolutely no idea.

That's... That's really cool

Wow, what!? Minimum 9800 GTX?? Damn, that's low end and between 9800 GTX and GTX 780 is huge... it feels as they copy Colemasters' reason to allow ppl with low end RIG able to play it.

Ps: woops, my bad, I meant Codemasters, not Colemasters... what a stupid typo xD
