Between Dishonored 2 and now Titanfall 2 it seems live action trailers are all the rage. EA and Respawn couldn’t resist going for the slowed down cover version of a classic song, a staple of game trailers for centuries now. Throw in an industrial backing drum and textbook game trailer is complete. The important thing though is that it has giant robots knocking seven shades of scrap out of one another, coupled with some eye-searing pyrotechnics.
A launch trailer can only mean one thing and that is of course - launch time. Titanfall 2 is out this very Friday, October 28th, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’re still waiting on code but on the basis of early reviews it looks as if Titanfall 2 is the perfect fusion of the original’s multiplayer with a decent, varied singleplayer campaign. It's currently sitting at a 'Mighty' score of 86 over on OpenCritic.
There's a lot of positive buzz surrounding Titanfall 2, are you going to give it a go? Does the addition of a singleplayer campaign seal the deal for you? Let us know!

I kind of want them to make a film of it now...

I'm still keeping an eye on this. I am very cautious about preordering anything these days, though...so I'll wait for reviews. I almost got the original Titanfall when it came out, and I know it was an okay game, but I'd heard it didn't have a lot to keep you coming back, or something to that measure.

The original version is Bang Bang by Cher, with an obviously completely different story going on in the lyrics, and the most famous cover version of that song is probably by Nancy Sinatra -- which, of course, was used in the opening shots of Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1 :D
