Ubisoft has announced a Steep open beta is taking place in November, providing players with an opportunity to see just what its open-world extreme sports game is all about.

Steep was a slightly off-kilter E3 conference closer from Ubisoft it has to be said, particularly after we’d become accustomed to high profile reveals of Watch Dogs, The Division and Ghost Recon Wildlands.

For a Ubisoft game the reception has been extremely tepid. Perhaps Ubisoft is hoping the Open Beta trailer will help spark up a bit more interest. In the Steep open beta players will have access to three of the final game’s seven regions, including dozens of challenge and narrative-driven “mountain stories”.

The Steep open beta takes place from November 18th through to the 21st. You can also sign up on Ubisoft’s site for early beta access as well, getting a sneak peek from the 10-14th.

If you miss the beta, Steep arrives on December 2nd for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Who's planning to give this a go? Could Steep be a sleeper hit for Ubisoft or is it destined to fail?

This game would be complete with full VR support, imagine snowboarding in VR with friends.

Reminds me of the epic flaw of Shaun White Snowboarding back in the day...

Well, at least this one doesn't smell like a flaw :D

idk if i have good or bad feelings for this. Seems interesting from my perspective but only if it's made correctly. There are too many areas where this can go wrong. It would be good with full VR support.Still... I will give it a go!
