So it’s arrived, Call of Duty:Infinite Warfare has just been released yesterday and it turns out it’s maybe not deserving of all the Youtube hate it initially received. Taking on more of a Sci-Fi element than we would've expected it’s definitely seeming to be more than just CoD in space (although admittedly that is technically what it is). Yet, it’s not the only kid on the block as we’re sure you’ve noticed, it’s arch nemesis Battlefield 1 has also been an absolute treat to play so far in all it’s Great War glory, so, you know where this is heading by now, who is going to be crowned the top military shooter in this annual showdown?
It turns out living in the past is actually pretty great, as we have been having bucket loads of fun with the new Battlefield 1. Tanks, zeppelins, armoured trains, mother flippin horses! They’re all there and all a wild ride in the classic Battlefield formula. While also with a truly great shake up of their campaign and more new features you can shake a stick at, it’s definitely been one of the hardest ones to put down recently. But then is it that perfect? Is it turning into just more of a run and gunner? Or has sniping just become too good? (there is a lot of them)
On the other hand (and historical spectrum as it turns out) Infinite Warfare takes us on an adventure into the stars to battle against a splitter colony of humans hell bent on being jerks, a match up which so far has been kinda awesome. Its campaign is just as good as ever, this game having no shame in it's run and gun routes, and is there anyone that can say they haven't enjoyed getting a group of mates together to have a good old zombies shakedown? (This time it's the 80s!) And lest we forget if you were lucky enough to get the Legacy Edition, Boom Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered! How can you not get sucked back into its simplistic perfection that if you look at it right, will only set you back an extra £20? It’s pretty hard to resist in our eyes. Yet is it really fair for Infinite Warfare to piggyback off one of the greats? Is that maybe telling us something? Is it becoming too much like Halo? Or is the Windows Steam divide just too much?
Have your say dear friends, release all of you opinions on our all-appreciating ears. Which one do you prefer? Which one do you hate? What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? Smatter us with your votes and let us know in the comments.

COD hasn't done anything different in a long while. Always the same futuristic theme and $60+ price tag in a different case.
PC Specs
Battlefield on a general aspect. The story focused on the horror of the trenches war was a risky but nice move from them, it really makes it unique. But CoD, on their part, the fast paced (always faster every year btw) makes it look and feel more like an arcade game, which is a completely different thing. I do like that a lot too, but those 2 games requiere 2 different state of mind really. I prefer one this day and the other one the other day.
PC Specs
Titanfall 2
PC Specs
I think this is a nonquestion, hands down BF1
PC Specs
Battlefield 1. At least they aren't dropping their troops into a capital ship to blow it up when they were already going to use their own ship's main cannons to blow it up to begin with!!!
PC Specs
Battlefield 1...Mic Drop...Curtain Call...Go Home Already :D
PC Specs
i prefer COD
hope next cod galaxy war
PC Specs
I prefer Battlefield. CoD has deviated so much form the game i used to love, it became too fast for me.
PC Specs
Battlefield has got more ''thinking'' over CoD. CoD is too fast and action is too fast
PC Specs
I don't understand why people find the "thinking" part as a bad thing. I do personally enjoy games that require you to think your way out of a specific situations, communicate with teammates and improvise in a more strategic manner. Hell, my favorite genre is strategy.
That being said, I sometimes prefer something that requires next to no thinking, just point and shoot. Simple, fun and relaxing.
PC Specs
I would disagree, in both games you can play with fast pace and action or play methodically with tactic.
PC Specs
Depends on what you prefer. BF is a more open and slightly slower paced game than CoD is, while CoD is an immensely more fast paced shooter that is incredibly fun in short bursts.
Biggest problem I've found with BF games is that I don't find them fun unless I'm playing with someone I know, and I've never been able to play CoD for more than 30 minutes to an hour at a time.
PC Specs
But as good as these games are ( opinions people, opinions, and this one is mine ),
I'd always take Red Orchestra, Insurgency or CSGO over them almost any time of the day.
PC Specs
depends on where in the battlefield you are at the moment. I have had very tense CQB
PC Specs
This poll is not necessary anyway. The winner is quite obvious already.
PC Specs
Well cod iw have better space adventure then no man's sky
PC Specs
I think COD: Infinite Warfare is by far the better game.
stirs pot vigorously, cackling
PC Specs
XD
PC Specs
Jon IDK if you are being serious or NOT :D
Either way, I respect your opinion, I personally like both games equally.
PC Specs
I can't like BF1's Campaign ! so little story !!
PC Specs
I agree there. Story in BF1 is a giant let down.
PC Specs
Hate? Life is too short for hate. Better to enjoy them both.
I love this historical aspects of Battlefield 1.
I also really like the game (campaign) putting the name & year of birth & death of someone killed in WWI every time you die.
For me, it's a somber reminder that the real thing is no game.
I do wish we could spend more time with the Harlem Hellfighters, a group that history has largely forgotten.
PC Specs
This poll is really not usefull. Call of duty is more arcade-like shooter in small maps and fast gameplay, Battlefield is half arcade half simulator with Big maps, lot of space for sniping and with vehicles. Here comes Dislikes ;)
PC Specs
You still can compare them as a game.
PC Specs
What Fredy said. You just compared them in your own comment :)
PC Specs
But you are comparing two different things. Only thing that connects them both is that they are the biggest FPS games made by AAA developers and published by 2 of the world greediest game companies.
Comparing them on those grounds is understandable, but comparing them in terms of gameplay, mechanics, maps, etc, is pointless, because they cater to different audiences, and are different games.
PC Specs
for the past 3 days i've been checking GD Website.. I see COD: IW in Number 1 spot of most popular game.. and BF1 in 2nd.. but upon checking this debate.. i see BF1 on fire with lots of votes.. What am i missing?
PC Specs
CoD just came out recently so the novelty factor is there. More people playing it currently because of popularity of prior games. Even so, Battlefield 1 is deemed as the superior game by most despite CoD's popularity.
PC Specs
Why are you enabling this horrible discussion? We got enough of this everywhere already :/
PC Specs
That's like asking: which is better: coca-cola or pepsi?, or Mcdonald's or Burger King?
PC Specs
So Coca-cola, Mcdonalds and BF1 right
PC Specs
I see how it is, I'll stand up for burger king goddammit. It's just as good as mcd's my childhood self won't let you slander the bk lounge
PC Specs
I've got to say, jmh is all kinds of right on this one.
PC Specs
a pepsi dude here xD
PC Specs
I like both Coca Cola and Pepsi :D
PC Specs
I like both, I want to play both. So.... both.
PC Specs
Good for you!!
