Just like The Walking Dead comic and TV series, Telltale’s episodic tales of zombie bloodlust seemingly never end. The third season is set to kick off soon, ditching the Season 3 nomenclature and going a mite more standalone with The Walking Dead - A New Frontier. Clem’s back again, forming the crux of the game. This time around she’s aged quite a few years, joined by newcomer Javier and his family. We’ve got the first trailer, teasing a two-part season premier taking place on December 20th, serving up both Episode One - Ties That Bind Part II and Episode Two - Ties That Bind Part II.

Uhuh, it’s Telltale’s The Walking Dead alright. The key difference this time around is that both Javier and Clementine are playable characters this time around, offering control over two characters for the first time in the series.

Now, the Michonne mini-series was a bit of a dud, so we’re hoping Telltale has been saving its best for the real deal. I can’t be the only one thinking they’ve potentially run out of ideas for this one. There’s only so many times Clementine can stumble into a dysfunctional family she’s not sure if she can trust before, one by one, they’re eaten, leaving her all alone.

If you fancy skipping straight to Season 3, or you lost your Season 2 game save, there is a questionnaire you can fill in to pick choices prior to the events of this game.

The Walking Dead - Season 3: Episodes 1 and 2 premiere on December 20th for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
