The legendary top-down racing series Micro Machines is back. Codemasters has announced Micro Machines World Series. You’ll once again be racing miniature vehicles around gigantic-looking real-world locations including kitchen tables, gardens, workshops and more.
Micro Machines World Series is actually out in just three months time, although Codemasters is being coy on showing actual gameplay. From the sounds of things it’s going to stick with the tried and trusted formula that made the originals such a success, including four-player split screen and support for up to 12 players online.
“The original Micro Machines was a breakthrough multiplayer racing game and remains much loved in the gaming community” said Codemasters’ VP of publishing, Jonathan Bunney. “We saw great success earlier this year with our free-to-play mobile game but this brand new console title takes the franchise to its greatest levels of multiplayer mayhem and enables you to play with your friends on the same sofa or across the world.”
Micro Machines World Series is out on April 21st for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
