Rainbow Six Siege is totally free-to-play this weekend. If you’ve been viewing the game from afar and have been wondering what the fuss is all about, this is your opportunity to hop in and give it a go while it’s awash with fellow newbies.

This special event is available on all platforms - PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The free weekend on PC is available on both Steam and Uplay, while console gamers can just download it from their respective storefronts.

The free version of Rainbow Six Siege is available right now and you can continue playing until February 5th. It includes all of maps, modes and operators from the full game, and any Renown, experience and unlocks you earn will transfer over the actual game if you decide to purchase it.

Talking of which, Rainbow Six Siege is available for 50% off on Steam right now, bringing it down to a frankly ridiculous £15. There are few excuses left at that sort of price point.

Remember as well that the first of the Year Two content is going to drop for Rainbow Six Siege next week. This includes the free Ibiza map and two new Spanish Operators - Mira and Jackal. Mira can install bulletproof glass in a reinforced wall while Jackal is an Attacker who can detect enemy footprints.
