Bayonetta is out on Steam today at 16:00PM BST, bringing SEGA and PlatinumGames critically acclaimed action game to PC with 4K support and additional advanced graphics options. It should mean Bayonetta will look better than ever, complete with a higher frame rate.

Of the PlatinumGames roster, Bayonetta is one of the most highly thought of, however the lack of a PC release has always been a sore point. While the Xbox 360 version was decent, the PS3 edition of Bayonetta was plagued with crippling frame rate issues. On PC this should obviously no longer be an issue, letting PC gamers throw the full force of their gaming hardware at the action-packed masterpiece.

Bayonetta Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 3.3 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 40 3.6 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 1.25 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 or AMD Radeon HD 6950
  • DX: DirectX 9
  • HDD: 20 GB available space

Bayonetta Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8320 3.5 GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon HD 7870
  • DX: DirectX 9
  • HDD: 20 GB available space

That's one game down, one to go, although I perhaps wouldn't get your hopes up for a Bayonetta 2 port. Nintendo helped fund development of the sequel, and based on Nintendo's track record the chances are slim to none it will ever see the light out of day outside of a Nintendo platform.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Bayonetta System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Bayonetta GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Bayonetta Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

with the insanely low bar to run this game in 4K (by the requirement checker on here, I easily can play this at 4k), I wonder the requirements to play this in 8k.......

edit; using some photoshop, I should be able to run this on 8k on medium as is, that is if 4k at 120hz equals 8k at 30hz, maybe with crossfire I can get closer to 50hz but maybe Vega 11 can get to 60

It's the smart move and it's best for business.
PC continues to grow as gaming's numero uno platform and every publisher wants in.

Also they should get the second game over as well. Go SEGA GO Platinum Games!

These system requirements are overly exaggerated, at 1600 x 1200 I can run the game on a gtx 260 with a combination of medium and high settings at a bit over 30fps

Is this for real ? I haven't played any good spectacle fighter game in years, ever since Castlevania LOS 2 and new DMC, on PC that is.
I'm a primarily a PC gamer, never owned a console and never wanted to, except for the damn spectacle fighters, consoles took them all ! And I've been seriously debating myself in buying one only for these games.

I thought this was some kind of april fools joke so I attempted to ignore it, but the fact that Santiago Santiago and even Gamespot talked about it made me skeptic so I bit my tongue and checked steam...its real...my god its real...well done sega, well freakin done! Now bring over the 2nd game (screw nintendo).

they made it so a lot of people will have access to it with it playing very good from the bottom to the top.

its funny, that they kept the requirements low but made the game look and play beautifully and they get thrashed for it.
60fps and 4k with relatively low requirements to do so.

With you there why thrash them there making there games where everyone can enjoy them but still get 4K and nice graphic fidelity with low requirements seems like a win win for me I'm definitely thinking of getting this game myself

Oh man, just after I bought the game and finished it for the first time on PS3... Had I known, I would've waited a couple of weeks to play it on PC for the first time.

I'm buying it regardless though. Hopefully Vanquish is next, I haven't picked that one up yet.

I don't think we will see Bayonetta 2 on PC... Ever. Since Nintendo published the game. What a shame, here's hoping I'm wrong.
