Just a few weeks ago we spied hints of Call of Duty Modern Warfare's remastered overhall making a standalone appearance as Amazon added it to their site and then removed it again. Previously this incredible game was digitally tweaked and then only available if you bought their $80 / £70 Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare, which to some felt a bit much. But we are now told by Activision that Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered will be available on PS4 from tomorrow. No confirmation on the PC release date of the standalone COD MW version, as of yet.

Modern Warfare, the original was released ten years ago in 2007. Regarding the remastered Modern Warfare release, Brian Raffel from Raven Software said,

It’s been an honor to bring this great title, which holds such a special place in our hearts, to a new generation of players, with Modern Warfare Remastered, we’re able to relive our favorite campaign levels and multiplayer moments in full HD visuals and remastered audio. No detail was too small, as the team pored over every aspect of development. We can’t wait for next Tuesday to introduce a new map and new game content, and play with the community.

The PC Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered system requirements took a jump up from their original COD MW system requirements. This increase feels in line with the graphical improvements that have been applied to Modern Warfare Remastered compared to its original COD MW system specs.

"2 minutes of silence for COD fans who pre-ordered the infinite warfare to play remastered MW only and had to download both of them."
