In an ever so slightly confusing turn of events, 505 Games and developer Ovosonic have announced that narrative adventure game Last Day of June will be out on, er, August 31st. Perfect marketing opportunity missed yesterday folks.

Last Day of June is an interactive adventure game about love and loss. Together Carl and June embark on a wondrous story, one in which Carl may have to do whatever it takes in order to save the one he loves. I don’t know much about it in truth, aside from a brief glimpse during E3, but it certainly looks lovely. It’s got some of the talent from Naruto and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie behind it, which explains a lot.

Last Day of June is coming to PC and PlayStation 4 on August 31st.
