Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta in October

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be officially released October 23. However, if you would like to get a taste of the game, you can get your hands on the beta shortly.

EA has announced that MoH: Warfighter will run a beta in early October. There is no date yet. However, they did add that only Xbox 360 owners will have acces to the beta...

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is developed by Danger Close. It's predecessor, Medal of Honor 2010 was also developed by Danger Close partly, but the multiplayer was done by Dice (the makers of Battlefield). It didn't seem like Dice was very motivated to help Danger Close out, as the multiplayer was a big disappointed, as opposed to the popular singleplayer.

This time around Danger Close can do it all by themselves. From the footage that we've seen, most people are very excited. Medal of Honor is a mixture of the close quarter fighting from Call of Duty and open areas, such as in Battlefield. There are however no vehicles in the multiplayer. The game runs on Frostbite 2, the same engine used as where Battlefield 3 runs on.  Danger Close say to have improved the engine, graphical and performance-wise.

So what will the beta include? It will be a multiplayer beta with a gamemode named 'HotSpot'. Players have to defend and attack environments in this mode. The map is called Sarajevo Stadium and takes place in the area of Bosnia. You can play as 12 squads, inlcuding: nited States Navy SEAL, British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group, and Korean UDT divisions.

Beta-players will receive a double XP bonus at the release of the game on October 23. The bonus will last for 1 hour. Also, if the beta hits 3 million downloads, EA will release the soundtrack "Castle of Glass" by Linkin' Park, who are working together with Danger Close to make Medal Of Honor: Warfighter a success. Linkin' Park are a fan of video games and say to be very excited to work on something big as MoH.

from the exprience and videos from alpha footage( i got a few friends who were in it) the graphics and the scenery seem very vivid but the whole image of the gun and the handler just looked a bit cartoonish, more like the art style from borderlands rather then the image i expect from dice/danger close. another thing they exprienced were horrible frame drops even with the strongest computers but that is to be expected from alpha playthrough and i never expected the game to run smoothly in it. hopefully by launch all of this small bugs will be sorted out and i could get my yearly MOH hit .

There are many more using the frostbite engine, so watching over all those games would be to much effort.. Its all Danger Close now ;)

Well, Xbox is represented by Microsoft, who can just throw out some money to get an exclusive beta. PC is not represented by anyone in particulair, so they always get the stuff last.
