Arkane’s just dropped a new trailer for standalone adventure Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. It’s all about the titular Outsider, that weird fella’ who’s obsessed with sucking Corvo and Emily into alternate dimensions. He’s a god, as it turns out, but even gods aren’t immortal.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is set a few months after the events of Dishonored 2. Suffice to say if you haven’t finished that yet, and you want to give this a go, then you’ll probably want to get that done first.

If you’re still with us, welcome to the Dishonored 2 spoilers club. An uneasy alliance is just about keeping the Empire together following the rescue of Emily Kaldwin / Corvo Attano (depending on your character choice), but despite Delilah’s death, the root cause of the problem, the Outsider, is still a problem.

For the first time in the series, players will step into the shoes of Billie Lurk, the ship’s captain from Dishonored 2 and the student of Daub, the assassin of Empress Jessamine Kaldwin. Daub’s being voiced by none other than Michael Madsen, Mr Blonde himself. They’re reunited for one final mission - to kill a god. Billie will have to infiltrate underground fight clubs, black magic cults and take part in a bank heist, a must for any stealth game.

Dishonored: Death of the Outside is out on September 15th and will be a budget-priced $30 release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It looks as if Bethesda wants a slice of Hellblade’s AAA indie pie.

Minor correction, Billie Lurk's mentor's name is Daud, not Daub.

Can't wait for this to release :D

Hah, I knew I'd heard Marilyn Manson's Killing Strangers before, in John Wick. And then I wondered what it would be like if John Wick existed in the world of Dishonored...and I think he would totally fit in, even if the weapons are a bit archaic for his tastes. Remember, he once killed three men in a bar...with a pencil. With a f***ing pen-cil...
( also RIP Michael Nyqvist ;( )

Still remember a song from a band (can remember the name) they were singing god is one of us. I found the idea intriguing.

Btw, love how they used Manson's song in the trailer. He's a smart guy.
