After more delays than Kenny's been killed, South Park: The Fractured But Whole actually looks as if it's going to hit its October 17th. It's got system requirements and everything now, it can't possibly go wrong. Can it? Matt Stone and Trey Parker have once more been on creative duties to deliver what is effectively two entire seasons of South Park into a hilariously offensive superhero-themed RPG. Will you need a superhero PC though? Check out the official South Park: The Fractured But Whole system requirements and find out.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz

- GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 380

The minimum requirements for South Park: The Fractured But Whole are suitable for playing at 720p / 60 frames per second, so there is still a bit of leeway on performance if you have a weaker graphics card. While the GeForce GTX 650 should be good for Low settings, something along the lines of a GeForce GTX 950 should be perfect for hitting Ultra on 720p while still hitting 60 fps. Something to bear in mind is that you will need a 2GB VRAM graphics card so the GeForce GTX 650 1GB may not be enough to run South Park: Fractured But Whole.
Ubisoft's RPG runs on the same Snowdrop engine as Tom Clancy's The Division, but it's certainly not on the same scale of visual demands. It looks like an episode of the cartoon with a bunch of effects layered over the top, so South Park isn't the sort of game you'll be needing a current gen graphics card to max out. Those gunning for 1080p / Ultra should, in fact, be fine with a GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Radeon TR9 380. More modern equivalents would be the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and the Radeon RX 470, both of which should run South Park: The Fractured But Whole without a hitch.
Every other hardware requirement is pretty much for the course. You'll need a minimum of 6GB system memory and a 3.0GHz quad-core CPU. Processors are unlikely to prove a major bottleneck point for South Park: The Fractured But Whole though; there is a great deal of work to be done here.
As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the South Park: The Fractured But Whole System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Those are the requirements for 8k right? I mean it's a 2D/2.5D game... how can it require anything above a gt 1030...

I could probably play it on my laptop without any issues. Have 2GB on my gpu but it's dd3.
Should be more that enough at 720p.

Dude,GTX 750Ti with the R9 380?I mean for real, the 380 it's better than even the gtx 760,how much nvidia bias is in this game?Even the HD7850 is considerably better than the gtx650.Damn

Quite a step up from Stick of Truth. I wonder how much they can have improved the effects and graphics to justify that (the gpu requirements are probably mostly due to 2gb vram requirements). Still, no complaint...

Looks pretty similar to me. It's probably just to make life easier on their end to support more current hardware.
