Uh oh, here we go again. The holiday season gaming onslaught is already in full flow with the likes of Sonic Mania, Mario + Rabbids, Yakuza Kiwami and Life is Strange: Before the Storm, while the likes of Destiny 2, Divinity: Original Sin II and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider are right around the corner. Bank account balances are draining and we’ve got precious little time to play them all. Fortunately, the weekend is here.

Jon: Through the magic of CMS systems I’m actually away on holiday right now, but when I get back this weekend I intend to begin plowing some time into Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. I’ve heard absolutely fantastic things about it and, within any luck, it’ll be sat waiting for me on the doormat when I get home. Aside from that, I plan to continue my (late) run-through of Mass Effect 2. I’m about 15 hours in now and my impressions have picked up a bit since the early stages, although it’s definitely not lived up to its billing so far. It’s one of the worst third-person shooters I’ve ever played tacked onto an RPG, rather than the other way around, yet the storytelling definitely helps drag it out of the mud. It’s a pity BioWare couldn’t have enlisted Visceral Games to help with the TPS elements as this could’ve really elevated it.

Felix:  Demo weekend for me I reckon. I think I will slip my football boots on and see how the new PES 2018 demo runs. Then I will take a look to see what Destiny 2 is all about. I have a feeling it will be a lot of publishing hype with little substance behind it. After that I will hopefully find a moment to grab a go on the new Absolver game that everyone is loving.

Shaheryar: It is Eid weekend so I will be wrapped up in festivities and tasty food most of the time. However, I intend to go through The Walking Dead: A New Frontier once again to unravel the other endings, I wasn’t pleased by the decisions I made during my last stint so it is time to make amends. Aside from that, I will try to catch up on Infinity Wars which is an awesome trading card game, spent around 60 hours on it. You folks ought to try it!

Lay it on the table then, what are your big gaming plans for this weekend?
