It’s taken its sweet time but Capcom’s subline Okami HD could at long last be heading to PC. The Korean GRB ratings board has inadvertently spilled the beans, providing an age rating for PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of Okami HD. This falls in line with recent rumours that a remaster was in the works with a launch date of December 12th supposedly targeted.
For the uninitiated, Okami HD is as close as we’re going to get to a classic 3D Zelda game on PC without Nintendo doing the unthinkable. Based on Japanese folklore, players take on the role of a white wolf wielding a Celestial Brush which can be used to paint the world in order to solve puzzles or take part in combat. Okami’s got a gorgeous hand-painted ink art style that really holds up well and it would surely look magnificent in 4K on a PC.
It’s been a long while since I played Okami but it’s also a ridiculously meaty game. Too meaty, some might say, clocking in north of 40 hours. It's an old game now but it would be great to finally have the ultimate version of Okami available on PC after all these years.
