Start your engines, we're back for another round with the other rally racing series. You know, not Dirt, the other. We're talking about WRC 7: FIA World Rally Championship, of course, the official game of the rally championship. WRC 7 features the full 2017 season including 13 countries, 52 stages, 55 teams and every single car. It's the serious rally drivers racing game and it's out this week. Before you buckle up though, here are the official World Rally Championship 7 system requirements.

WRC 7 Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-2115C 2.00 GHz or AMD Athlon II X3 455 3.3 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 512MB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX or AMD Radeon HD 5750
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 19 GB Available Hard Drive Space

WRC 6 Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8150 3.6 GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 3 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 19 GB Available Hard Drive Space

If you're a long-term WRC fan, as I suspect plenty of you reading this are, the system requirements for WRC 7: FIA World Rally Championship remain almost identical to WRC 6. On this evidence, WRC 7 is largely the same game, at least in terms of visuals. The only thing likely to change itself.

Compared to WRC 6, the only difference for WRC 7 is that the installation size has been reduced from 25GB to 19GB. That's it. It's very rare indeed that a sequel's system requirements actually drop, so the good news is that you can expect exactly the same performance from WRC 7 as you got with WRC 6.

For new players, the system requirements for World Rally Championship 7 are about as welcoming as it gets. There should be fantastic degree of scalability here, running on everything from a decade-old graphics up to the much more capable Radeon R9 290 or GeForce GTX 780. You can expect WRC7 to look pretty terrible with a GeForce 9800 GTX, but it will run at least.

Remember, you can always check out how well your PC can run the WRC 7: FIA World Rally Championship System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the WRC 7: FIA World Rally Championship GPU benchmark chart.

These WRC games are pretty mediocre from what I know... If only the gave full WRC licensing to Dirt Rally it would be the best Rally game ever made... I love it so much but after 120+ hours of playing I need more tracks and cars which I'm never going to get :(. And according to most, Dirt 4 doesnt have the longevity of Rally and you get bored of it much faster... Oh well... I may still get it at some point when it goes on 50% off or more.

I cant go for another rally game so soon after latest dirt game, which by the way is awsome. I will hold up all my car game purchases until Project cars 2 is released

So how does this game compare to dirt rally in realism? Never tried one of these games before.

It seems to be a less dynamic version of DiRT 4. Visuals and sound are pretty much similar.
imo Dirt Rally > Dirt4 & WRC7

Thanks guys for your feedback! My initial impression of wrc 7 is that's it's bland. I don't know if that's just me though.

Typo in the Recommended Requirements sub-heading. Should be WRC 7 not WRC 6. :)
