Yes, but on GD it says that 9000 series don't support it, so I got confused or upset... Or maybe both :D

I've now seen two sources (IGN and PC Gamer) cite examples of Hi-Performance system GPUs for this game as being GTX 680 and HD 7970. This makes far more sense than GTX 260 and HD 6770.

Heres how it has worked Greg. The Hi-performance GPU was not defined by Ubisoft. One of those GPU reports (by IGN or PC Gamer) is a copy of the other media outlet.
The GPU given in the Far Cry 3 system requirements is estimated by the respective media outlets, GD included.
Before it was estimated it said just this,
Hi-Performance System Specs = 1024 MB DirectX 11-compliant card with Shader Model 4.0 or higher
That is the same information that was provided for Recommended system requirements.
This implies to us that Ubisoft did not see that the graphics card was any more important between recommended system requirements and hi-performance requirements. Thats not to say that it wont make a difference, but that a GPU is not as crucial in reaching hi-performance providing you already meet the recommended GPU requirements.
Now, I have been studying this stuff very carefully for a while now and watched the large media outlets and publishers in their sensationalised press releases and I also have a world of system requirement data at my finger tips. So at this stage it is up to you who you trust regarding the projection of system requirement information. While GD was telling people not to panic about the BF3 system requirements, PC Gamer on the other hand flatly said an 8800GTX would not run BF3. They changed their tune right after BF3 released.
We did the same with Max Payne 3 and all other releases. I have said the following a few times now but it never hurts to mention it again - This game is available on 7 year old consoles and still needs to look pretty good.
And so, whoever any of you choose to believe, one thing is for certain - GD will adjust its data to better fit real world performance once the games land in our fellow gamer's hands and they add their info into GD.
We want to keep it as real as possible for all of us.
Thanks for reading F

Probably if the game is optimized well :)
EDIT: I didn't see that you have 4GB of RAM, so that means that you can run it on medium, if you upgrade your ram to 8GB then max shouldn't be a problem :)

no but you may loose some FPS at some points since this is a pretty demanding free roam game
But since you have a Desktop an i5 is way better than i7 for demanding gaming you are ok

You are completely fine there. I am amazed at the Hi-performance requirements... i7-2600K/FX-4150? FX-4150...Uhm... Aight, a big mismatch... Either somebody failed at writing those specs, or the game is very well optimized for AMD (i wont be surprised tho, AMD are sponsoring Far Cry 3 or something like that, If i remember correctly)

Just to confirm, Far Cry 3 system requirement sources are straight from the horses mouth, Ubisoft.
How much they know about getting a game (also built for console) on to a modern day rig, well thats why GD is here, right? So we can all chat about the real world Far Cry 3 system requirements.
My early opinion is that graphically I have not really seen anything that really will break a modern 3 year old computer on average settings. I got a chance to have some hands on at one of the game shows over the past few months.
I think people might even be able to get away with a minimum of 3GB of RAM. As for the suggested i7....hmm? No game has managed to push the boat out on CPU requirements for many years, I am not sure that this will need an i7 to get full power either. But again these are just my hunches and we will have to wait and see when our fellow gamers start to post up their FPS figures on our Far Cry 3 ratings page
