Need For Speed's back and, in a name that seems increasingly self-referential to the 2015 reboot dud, this time it's payback. Need For Speed Payback is coming to PC on November 10th, taking more than a few cues from the Fast and Furious movies. EA and Ghost Games have also cosied up to Nvidia for this one, meaning performance optimisation for GeForce hardware. Here are the official Need For Speed Payback PC system requirements.

Need For Speed Payback Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6300 3.8 GHz or AMD FX-8150 3.6 GHz
  • RAM: 6 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 270
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 30GB Available Hard Drive Space

Need For Speed Payback Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 6GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
  • DX: DirectX 12
  • HDD: 30GB Available Hard Drive Space

The last Need For Speed arrived with all the impact of a wet sponge so I don't too many of you have given it a go. Nevertheless, if you did, Need For Speed Payback's system requirements are roughly in the same ballpark, give or take a few percentage points. Whatever performance you could get out of Need For Speed 2016, you can probably achieve the same with Need For Speed Payback.

For the rest of you folks, NFS: Payback's system requirements cover a broad spectrum of machines, from the low-end GeForce GTX 750 Ti up to the mid to high range GeForce GTX 1060. This should ensure a great degree of scalibility, along with the usual tip-top performance we've now come to expect from DICE's Frostbite engine.

Need For Speed Payback's minimum system requirements are for 720p resolution, 30 frames per second on the low graphics preset. If you're reaching for a more modern equivalent, a GeForce GTX 1050 or Radeon RX 460 should do the trick.

Meanwhile, Need For Speed Payback's recommended PC specs are what you'll need to play on the High graphics preset at 1080p resolution, 60fps. Both of the recommended CPUs are very capable yet quite old now, so any modern Core or Ryzen CPU should be able to run NFS: Payback just fine.

Those looking to play Need For Speed Payback at 1440p resolution or above are recommended to have a GeForce GTX 1070, GTX 1080, GTX 1080 Ti, Radeon RX Vega 56, or RX Vega 64.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Need For Speed Payback System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Need For Speed Payback GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Need For Speed Payback Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

I don't really see why the 6300 would present any major performance drawback for playing at 720p, 30fps. Its single-core performance is top notch.

And you have just stated the obvious. Not gonna buy this ridiculously demanding game even if it is the best game of the history of gaming. It is not worth it if i cannot play it.

I have paid a lot of money for my graphic card and there are lots of optimized games out there. i was hardly able to play the last need for speed so i will buy optimized games and enjoy smooth gameplay with high settings as my graphic card deserves.

normal systen req. I can only say that when the new gtx 11 series come out the rec. req. will be 11. Nothing new. The only thing that misses this game are holes in the roads.

If they would only remake NFS Undrground 2. Better gfx, new cars and some online modes. Maybe random encounters with real players for unique mods. That's it!!!! But NO! We are EA...

What Need For Speed have you been playing for the last 25 years? Never been anything but arcade racing.

You know the franchise is aging, not quite as gracefully, when it doesn't look as good or better than other racers out there even on 4k
