Warner Bros got Middle-Earth: Shadow of War out the door last week, and of course it hasn’t taken them long to announce a hefty season pass and all the associated goodies. That’s for those who make it through the grindy end-game and are still thirsting for more action in Mordor.

A total of four expansions will be coming to Shadow of War, beginning with a couple of Nemesis packs before a pair of larger story expansions arrives in the new year.

The Slaughter Tribe and Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansions include new Orc tribes scattered throughout Mordor, each with their own fortress, unique Legendary Orcs, gear and upgrade challenges. The first of these will be available in November, while the second drops in December.

Things get a little more exciting in 2018 though. First up is the Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion. This features a new playable character, Eltariel, an assassin also known as the Blade of Galadriel. She’s equipped with dual Elven blades and new combat abilities, skills and gear. Eight new Legendary Orcs are available to join your forces through completing this expansion, playing through an all-new storyline. It’s due in February 2018.

Lastly, there’s the Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion. Again, there’s a new playable character. This time it’s Baranor, the Captain of Minas Ithil, and you’ll be commanding an army of men against an Orc threat from the East. It’s set in the new desert region of Lithlad, and rather than conquering Orcs it’s about hiring mercenaries to build a huge human army. A little bonus is being added to the campaign as well with the addition of a new rogue-like mode without the power of a Ring or a wraith. Desolation of Mordor is out in May 2018.

The full Expansion Pass for Shadow of War doesn’t come cheap though. It’ll set you back £32.99  / $39.99, roughly two-thirds the price of the full game.

Anyone thinking of throwing more money Warner Bros’ way for the Shadow of War expansion pass? Let us know your plans!

We had MAGIC 5000 years ago? That awesome! Where did the Elves, Dragons, Orcs and Dwarfs go I wonder? The geological record of the earth aught to have found some remnants of them. WHERE are YOUR SOURCES.

I bought the gold edition which came with season pass. Slightly concerned about the tribes.... i mean, they are just orcs , nothing else... they might look a little different but it's the same, isn't it?
