The biggest new announcement from BlizzCon 2017 this weekend was undoubtedly the reveal of World of Warcraft’s new Battle for Azeroth expansion pack. The seventh expansion for WoW, Battle for Azeroth bumps up the level cap to 120 and adds in the all-new regions of Zandalur and the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras.
“The fall of the Burning Legion sets off a series of disastrous incidents that reignites the conflict at the heart of the Warcraft saga”, says Blizzard “As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth’s heroes must set out on a journey to recruit new allies, race to claim the world’s mightiest resources in order to turn the tides of war, and fight on several fronts to determine whether the Horde or Alliance will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future.”
From the sounds of it, World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is going to an extremely PvP-centric expansion, exploring the hostilities between the Alliance and the Horde. There’s also the new co-op Warfront mode for 20-player PvE, allowing players to lay siege to objectives and fight a commander in battles inspired by Warcraft RTS/
In addition to the new expansion, Blizzard also answered a much called for fan request - WoW Classic servers. Details are scarce for now, other than Blizzard confirming it’s happening. From the sounds of it, it’s going to be vanilla WoW, just as you remember it, but including all the latest graphical upgrades. Everyone will be leveling from 1-60 again, the Badlands and will be crowded, and in general, it’ll be a total nostalgia-fest.
I’m hopeful they do it Everquest style and have services with accelerated expansion releases, such as every three months or so. This would keep things going at a breakneck pace and prevent the usual raid grinds which typically form at the end-game.
Who's hopping back into WoW for either of these new additions? Which are you looking forward to more? Let us know below!

What I am wondering, what are they using for those facial animations? They are spot on. Uncanny valley over or something...well at least for anything that is Bizzard standard graphics? Subtle emotion is well done.
PC Specs
that is not blizzard standard graphics, it's just blizzard standard cinematics!
PC Specs
Only if they could make dual clients one with new graphics which looks like in the cinematic for people that have beast setups and one for people with lower end hardware aka the current graphics. Still I'm excited for vanilla
PC Specs
they could, but 95% of people who play it do NOT care for the graphics and a huge part of the player base does NOT have good enough PCs anyway.
PC Specs
Yep, the majority of people playing blizz games have relatively old PCs or weak laptops.
PC Specs
well it's NOT worth it, so yeah...8a
PC Specs
For those who want the better graphics they could make the game cost more, it's pay to play anyway so if people like me want the better graphics could pay more. It's not like someone from blizzard is going to see this anyway no point in even discussing it I guess.
PC Specs
Also forgetting that lower requirements open up more people to play. Plus as anyone that's plays an mmo knows, cpu requirements would skyrocket as detail increases with the amount of characters crammed on screen. Plus would require a complete engine rebuild to use high thread count CPUs.
PC Specs
I'm not forgetting anything that's why I said dual client aka two different game files connecting to the same server. They can still keep the old client (the current graphics) while making a new client with the new graphics, if they can afford to support both options at the same time why not do it? But again if they can't I'm cool with it. You have to agree with me tho a World of warcraft game that looks in game the same as it does in the cinematic would be awesome.

I've wanted this since WotLK, plus this is the closest we'll get to warcraft 4 and I'm loving it. On top of that we'll get vanilla servers and I'll actually get to experience vanilla WoW, which I always wanted(I started in TBC), just epic, go blizzard!!!
PC Specs
Does this mean that they will support separate servers for each expansion (TBC, WoTLK dedicated ones ) as well?
PC Specs
For now it will be only vanilla and the current one, but I'm betting in the future, slowly, they will bring for each expansion as it is NOT only vanilla that is really requested, TBC and WotLK are as well.
PC Specs
Probably with each new expansion they will make servers for one of the old ones in chronological order.
PC Specs
If there was ever a way to deal with the private servers, this is it! Just can't believe it took them this long to realize it
PC Specs
Sadly their executives at Activion-Blizzard and the stock holders, a.k.a the bosses of the bosses are narrow-minded, stubborn and conservative... :/8a
PC Specs
From what I understand, there won't be any upgrades graphically, it'll literally be 2005-6 WoW just today. They're considering if they should even fix/change any bugs, and are going to be going with the community's opinion on it.

Blizzard is worse than konami at how much they can milk a franchise lol
