Kalypso has been fighting the good fight recently, ensuring forgotten PC gaming genres don't stay that way for good. Railway Empire's inspirations are immediately obvious to Railroad Tycoon fans, promising plenty of tracklaying fun as would-be tycoons attempt to appease both the passenger and service markets simultaneously. For those types like myself who love a bit of tycooning it's looking awesome, but as always, be sure to check out the official Railway Empire PC system requirements first.

As far as system requirements go, these are right down at the lower end of the spectrum. Anyone with a PC bought in the last three or four years should have literally no problems to worry about in terms of running Railway Empire. The only conceivable issues arise if you're still running any very old components in your gaming PC.
Unfortunately, we can't take the minimum graphics card requirements totally at face value. The GeForce GTX 460 is generally not available in 2GB versions aside from a handful of AIB partner models, so remember to check out just how much VRAM you've got on your GPU first. Radeon HD 5870 owners fare better on this front, with plenty of 2GB models out there.
Despite this, practically all modern graphics cards have at least 2GB VRAM on them anyway, and practically anything from the GTX 750 Ti and upwards should be capable of playing Railway Empire on High. If you are a little worried about whether your hardware is powerful enough to play Railway Empire, the good news is that a stable frame rate isn't an absolute necessity. As a slow-paced management game, Railway Empire won't require quick reactions. Even if you're playing at 15-20 fps, Railway Empire should still be pretty playable. It could mean it's a great match for those using modern integrated GPUs.
As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Railway Empire System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Railway Empire GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Railway Empire Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.
