Welp that best stealth game. Styx should have won, but I knew it wouldn't because not that popular. But last place? That's just sad.
Also, judging what I see from the reviews on Steam, it seems like Torment wasn't really much of a good game. And even had pieces of its story cut out. So.. Torment winning Best Story is questionable. Other than that, it's all pretty much what my votes were. Anyways, these were my thoughts, happy gaming :D

I can't help but think Tenchu seriously need to make a comeback to retake the throne of the stealth genre, god I miss the Tenchu series T-T

Torment was actually fantastic, if you were in the mood for it. The lack of combat threw some people off.

The story itself was fantastic though, dunno about any cut parts. It wasn't missing anything like a cliffhanger at any rate.

  • mismanaged development (by inXile's own admission) resulted in massive cuts that are very noticeable in the game; you can't join a faction anymore, but the factions still talk about taking new recruits, you can't go to the Oasis anymore, but the plot points that were supposed to happen there are still being foreshadowed with no payoff. Certain NPCs are completely pointless, but were meant to be important quest givers or faction leaders before their quest/faction was cut, etc. etc.

  • the main plot also feels thin; large pieces of it were cut or simplified when the Oasis was cut, and the impact of the Tides and the Factions was diminished greatly from the original concept. What remains is pretty dull and by-the-numbers; maybe I set my expectations too high

Styx was best stealth, and how Resident Evil 7 beated Outlast 2...

Well in my opinion from what i have seen and played. Outlast 2 did not deliver the same horror feel as the original. Resident Evil 7 on the other hand actually tried something new for the series and it might have not been amazingly great, it certainly was quite a good game in my opinion.

I played both and personally I found RE7 far superior... Both had fantastic graphics but other than that I think Outlast 2 loses in everything else.

First, I completely agree about Styx, but ofc, "who the hell even knows about this game..." Flippin UBISOFT will always take these awards...
Second, Outlast 2 was a better stressful game in both gameplay and atmosphere, yet I kind of find these horror titles quite irritating and the "fun" missing out of it - by "these" I mean horror games, where you can't fight back, just run away and hide

but that should make it better horror the feeling that y are helpless and can only run and hide, while Resident Evil 7 dont have that atmosphere just like y sayed its feel more like monsters are hiding from y lol, after outlast 2 i feeled so bad bec of stress its causing

I agree with pretty much everything except for best stealth game which goes to the new Styx, also Horizon Zero Dawn was pretty much garbage. That aside i've no complains.

I mean i didn't play Horizon Zero Dawn, but calling it garbage is a little too far, care to explain your opinion on it?

It was implied that's only my opinion of course. Anyway, 30 fps is unacceptable, i don't care how good a game look, if it's an action game it must run at 60, for reference every ps2 game did. The skill tree is weak, there are...

PS2 was exactly the same situation we have now. A hell of a lot of PS2 games were 30fps.

It doesn't really matter what you played though, the vast majority of PS2 games weren't 60 fps. Those that were 60fps were the anomaly, including yes, action games like Devil May Cry.

With any console generation, you're not going to get a permanent 60fps target across all games unless the platform holder enforces it. Devs are always going to be tempted to use that power to develop better looking games than games with higher frame rates. It makes them play worse but looking good sells more consoles + games. In the case of Horizon, it's pure marketing to have one of the best looking games out there, exclusive on PS4. No one's really chatting about how great Super Lucky's Tale looks at 60fps are they.

Knowing why something wrong happens doesn't make it right, by that reasoning publishers should include cocaine inside game boxes, they'd sell more that way, won't they.

...2-3 skills top that are meaningful, the others just feel superficial, same goes for the level up system. It would have been better off, the weapons, spear included, make hardly any damage even at the highest difficulty rewarding...

...precision over crafting which would be nice if the game didn't run at 30fps with motion blur, also the only good point about the game which are the machines models and animations(gorgeous) doesn't match with all the requirements above...

...The quests are too generic and forgettable, even the main ones, some characters are well written, most aren't. The open world is well designed but the activities in it aren't, looks like a bad far cry primal, which was already meh.

Oh, also, even though it's an action game, since the stealth mechanic is pretty prevalent, they should've designed some levels so that you could actually complete them while hidden. Which is why i'm worried for the new Metro.

why Metro is not a stealth game?

Up until now, the next one is gonna be open world though, meaning they won't be able to design those beautiful levels anymore, i'm wondering how will they keep the game's spirit.

Wow, since when do games get awards for being quality products / having a rewarding experience... everything is all about the popularity!

Pardon my sarcasm, but this is how it is...

Well... I get your point and its true in some categories/awards but personally I actually do believe DOTA 2 is the best moba. Its my opinion and I have played the rest of the list other than Gigantic as well. And popularity isnt always a wrong index as well. Sure in some cases it just comes from marketing and being a huge title vs a small and new one but in well established games like these MOBAs that are around for years now popularity does show which one the people prefer. If you have chosen to play that game instead of the rest then it makes sense that you think its the best one... If you didnt think its the best one you would play some other game.
