If you’ve still got some money burning a hole in your pocket after Black Friday, AMD’s got a pretty decent deal running for Radeon fans. A promo’s running from now through until December 31st, 2017, wherein anyone who buys a Radeon RX Vega 64 or Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card will get copies of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Prey for free.
While it’s probably not enough to tip most people over the edge and fork out $400+ for a graphics card, these are two very solid games from Bethesda that run great on AMD Radeon hardware. The big selling point is that these games would cost you $100 when bought normally, although both are available for 50% off right now in the Steam Autumn Sale. Still, free’s free, so mustn’t grumble.
AMD has said the campaign period runs from November 24, 2017, through to December 31, 2017, or when “supply of key codes is exhausted”. If you buy either a Radeon RX Vega 56 or a Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU then you’ve got two months after the Campaign end date to redeem your unique ID on the hardware in exchange for the game codes.
If you’re unlucky enough to have bought either of these graphics cards in the last few weeks I’d definitely recommend you chance your luck with your local retailer and see if you can get in on the deal. They’re usually quite good with this sort of thing, and they’re often particularly quick to agree if you bring up the subject of returning your current GPU and just buying a new one with the current deal.
For those of you who live in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Israel, the copy of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is replaced by a copy of Sniper Elite 4. Just swap some Nazi killing for some plain old fascist killing, simple.
