Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr will be chainsawing its way out of Steam Early Access on May 11th, Neocore Games has announced.
“Our quest to create the very first Action RPG in the Warhammer 40,000 universe is almost done,” proclaims Neocore. “We've been working on this game for three years and we're excited to announce that Warhammer 40,000: Inqusitor - Martyr will be available on May 11, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!”
Stuart reviewed it in a very raw state back in November of last year, and said at the time “If they’re asking for money from alpha testers, it feels like 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr should be more polished and perhaps more balanced and fun at this stage. But at the same time, there’s plenty of time for them to fix the niggling issues and release an absolute belter of a sci-fi action RPG.”
I suspect there have been plenty of changes in the months since then though, so Martyr should now be a much more fleshed out project. At its heart, it’s a brutally violent action-RPG much in the vein of Diablo, but of course, set within the Warhammer 40K universe. It features multiple classes, online co-op play and procedurally generated missions spanning the huge Star Map of the Caligari Sector.
Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr will be out on May 11th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
