Josef Fares has become somewhat of a cult figure since his expletive-laden outburst at The Game Awards. Despite EA fronting the cash for this one, A Way Out is one of more anticipated 'indie' games of 2018. Playable exclusively in co-op, A Way Out looks to be a unique genre-blend where teamwork must be considered at all times. Fortunately, two people only need to buy a single copy of the game. The downside is that you'll need a friend who's also got the required PC specs to run A Way Out.
A Way Out Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-2100T 2.5GHz or AMD FX-6100 3.3 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
- GPU: GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or Radeon HD 7750 2GB
- HDD: 25GB Available Hard Drive Space
- API: DirectX 11
A Way Out Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5 GHz
- RAM: 16 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
- GPU: GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R9 290
- HDD: 25GB Available Hard Drive Space
- API: DirectX 11
A Way Out straddles that awkward line between indie game and big budget blockbuster, and it's arguably neither. So too do A Way Out's PC system requirements perch somewhere between what we'd expect from a 3D indie title and a AAA experience.
In terms of minimum specs, A Way Out is extremely reasonable, aside from the lofty minimum 8GB RAM requirement. A "GB DirectX 11 graphics card to do the job, paired with a fairly low-end dual-core processor.
As expected there's a fair jump to the minimum specs, doubling up to a quad-core 3.4GHz+ processor and 16GB RAM. The RAM requirement seems far too high though and it's unlikely you're going to need anywhere near this. With this hardware it should be possible to play A Way Out at 1080p/60 frames per second.
As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the A Way Out System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the A Way Out GPU benchmark chart and we also have an A Way Out Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

Weird recommended requirements for RAM (16GB) and VRAM (2GB). Hope it'll be optimized

I'm guessing the RAM requirements were just pulled out their arse

can it be like cod ww2? as i have seen 16gb really helps in that game with stutters. Though only 2gb vram compared to 6gb in cod ww2...
PC Specs
Indeed COD WW2 does really struggle with 8GB. A Way Out doesn't lookto be anywhere near as demanding though

Cod ww2 is an odd beast. The multiplayer part stutters in some parts of some maps, it sometimes happens, not everytime. Even with 16gb. Makes me think there's something wrong with the game rather than our setups.
