Konami’s still just about got a pulse, announcing that its 4K remaster of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner: M∀RSwill be blasting onto PC and PlayStation in September 2019.

The Zone of Enders sequel will be coming to PC for the first time ever, fully remastered in 4K and with a new 1st-person mode for playing in VR. Pass the sick bucket. ZOE2: The 2nd Runner is a third-person hack ‘n’ slash mech game originally created by Metal Gear maestro Hideo Kojima.

Along with the vague release date announcement, Konami sent over a 4K technical comparison trailer that showcases the original game versus the PS3 HD Edition and finally this 4K: M∀RS edition.

It definitely looks a whole lot sharper, although the basic textures just scream PS2-era. Still, it all screams Kojima and it’ll be nice to get it on PC at last. PSVR support is confirmed, and we have to assume ZOE2 is also going to be compatible with the HTC Vive and other PC VR headsets.
