Honestly, wading through the dregs like Achievement Idler, Vantage: Primitive Survival Game, and Death from Unknown: Survival, just to find the games that don’t look like absolute shite, is quite a task these days, on Steam or anywhere else. Still, wading beneath all of them there are plenty of potential indie gems arriving in April, and in true indie fashion, we expect there to be some big surprises along the way.
A quick shout to Simon the Sorcerer: 25th Anniversary Edition though. An absolutely classic adventure game, this looks to have been ‘remastered’ with quite possibly the worst visual overhaul I’ve ever seen in my life. Just look at the trailer below and witness this abomination in action. Thankfully, Frostpunk’s gorgeous snowbound apocalypse more than makes up for it.
