Rumours of Cyberpunk 2077 appearing at E3 2018 in a big way are continuing to escalate. We’ve had the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account whirring into life, of course, as well CD Projekt RED’s attendance at E3 confirmed. Now we’ve got a little tidbit from Italian gaming website Everyeye, with the site’s editor, Francesco Fossetti, claiming on Facebook that he’ll be attending an hour-long presented of Cyberpunk 2077 hosted by CD Projekt RED.

Fossetti said CD Projekt RED is sending out invitations to the press for a behind-closed-doors look at Cyberpunk, presumably to get a look at the first ever gameplay footage of the upcoming sci-fi, narrative-driven single-player RPG.

Naturally, anything like this needs to be taken with a healthy pinch of sodium chloride, but there’s certainly a lot of smoke coming out of this particular fire.

If we had to hazard a guess, a Cyberpunk 2077 trailer reveal during one of the major E3 2018 press conferences seems damn near certain. Whether it’s another cinematic or an in-game trailer we’ll have to wait and see, but CDPR certainly isn’t shy about using E3 to promote its games. It’s here where we saw The Witcher 3 revealed to the world, as well as Gwent: The Witcher Card Game last year.

Fingers crossed then, but the time may finally be upon us. Judging from The Witcher 3’s hype cycle, should it be showcased at E3 then we can expect Cyberpunk 2077 to launch at some point in 2019. With any luck, the earlier the better.
