The nunchaku-wielding Maxi has become the latest combatant to be announced for SoulCalibur VI.
He’s a long-standing fighter in the series who practices Jeet Kune Do. The relatively short-range of the nunchakus means Maxi relies on fast and often debilitating attacks. In the right hands, Maxi can string together fearsomely combos, making him a powerful antidote to any button mashers you may come up against. The problem is, he's also a fantastic fit for button mashers too. Good luck out there.
As is customary in fighting games, Maxi does have a fairly vague reason for engaging in endless fisticuffs. His father worked in the Ryukyu Kingdom as a merchant, although was tied down by his job. On his deathbed, he told Maxi to go out and see the world. Maxi become a nunchaku-wielding pirate, obviously, and the rest is history.
Enough chit-chat, here's the man himself in action.
SoulCalibur VI is out later in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
