Square Enix got its E3 2018 conference with a fairly deep look at the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider. An entire gameplay sequence was shown, demonstrating how Lara Croft has made quite the about turn from tree-hugging adventurer to absolute psycho. She’s a real dab hand at stabbing chaps now, ideally after she’s smothered herself in jungle mud and emerged from the gloom, Arnie style.
Shadow is the first Tomb Raider game to be developed by Eidos Montreal, although it seems they're following closely in Crystal Dynamics' footsteps with the finale to the origin trilogy.
On top of that, we also got a brand spanking new trailer during Microsoft’s Xbox press conference yesterday too. It’s a mix of cinematic and gameplay elements, providing a very nice look at all of the varied environments Lara will be exploring this time around.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is out on September 14th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
