Life is Strange developer Dontnod landed with a splash back at E3 last week. We're just a few weeks on from Vampyr's launch but already they were keen to tease Life is Strange 2. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit isn't Life is Strange 2. But, it is connected, and some of the characters will appear in LiS2. The best bit though is that The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is out next week and it's also going to be totally free. Here are the PC specs needed to run Captain Spirit.

It's only been three years since Life is Strange graced us with its presence, but a lot's changed in the intervening years. These system specs for Captain Spirit are unrecognisable when stacked up against the GTX 260 or Radeon HD 4890 GPUs recommended for LiS. Instead, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit PC system requirements are actually almost identical to this month's Vampyr. They're a little more forgiving but they're very much along the same lines.

As a minimum, Dontnod is suggesting you have a video card with at least 2GB VRAM along with a dual-core processor clocked at 3.0GHz or faster. That's still pretty forgiving for a 2018 title, particularly when accounting for the 4GB RAM and paltry 5GB installation size.

If you're hoping for buttery smooth 60 frames per second in the Adventures of Captain Spirit then you'll be needing a GeForce GTX 970 or equivalent, as well as a quad-core CPU. This isn't vital but if you want to play on High settings at 1080p then this is the level of hardware you'll need.
