Match Day 7 Results

The closest match of the day was undoubtedly Battlefield V vs Red Dead Redemption 2, with just two votes preventing a draw. As it was, RDR2 walked out the 2-1 winner and became the first game to secure qualification to the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, in group B, The Elder Scrolls VI continued its strong form, knocking in three goals against a Forza Horizon 4 that was in defensive disarray. Proof, if proof were needed, that dragons are better than cars. Lastly, The Last of Us 2 gave itself a shot at the knockout stages with a resounding victory over Kingdom Hearts 3. Square Enix's Disney-themed JRPG is in danger of heading home without a single point to celebrate. Cue the sad trombone for Goofy.

Match Day 8:

It's matchday 8 and it's time for the closest group of the entire tournament. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Spider-Man, Just Cause 4 and Dying Light are all tied on one point with two goals apiece. It's all to play for. Meanwhile, in Group D it's the battle of the rejects. The two losers from the first round try to make amends as Skull & Bones goes head to head with Pokemon.
