Sci-fi is the order of the day today for the GD World Cup 2018. You won't that in the real World Cup. Fallout 76 and The Division 2 both bring their own apocalyptic portents, while Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield are rooted in further flung futures, one dystopic, the other, well, we don't know anything about yet. That won't stop the hype train though, so vote your most anticipated games to be in with a chance of nabbing the grand prize.
The winner of our competition can choose one of three prizes: a PS4 Pro, $300 Steam credit, or a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. It's a competition for the GD community only, so the prize will only go to a GD member. This is football Game-Debate style!
All you've got to do is pick your favourites below and you will be entered into our giveaway draw. Every vote you cast in the polls is an entry into the giveaways, and a winner will be randomly chosen at the end of the GD Gaming World Cup 2018. Nice and simple.

Round of 16 Knockouts:
Today is possibly the biggest day of the entire last 16. Whatever the outcome, two huge games are boarding the HMS Failure today, bound for the land of losers. Fallout 76 takes on The Division 2 in a battle of co-op RPG goodness. One's armed with the nuke, the other's probably going to throw a snotty tissue or something.
The other match is the battle between the sci-fi open-world RPGs. In the one corner, we have the mysterious Starfield from Bethesda, while in the other we have Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED. Cyberpunk has been an absolute force so far in this tournament, although Bethesda fans could provide it with some stiff competition.
It's game on - get your votes in below. For every 50 votes a game gets, it scores a goal. In the event of a draw, it will go to a penalty shootout.
The winner will go through to the quarterfinals, the loser will be knocked out. Nice and simple.
This is a blind vote, results will be revealed tomorrow along with the next group of anticipated game polls!
