UPDATE: We finally have our first confirmation that Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is coming to PC. The Spyro remakes originally came to PS4 and Xbox One late last year, but a PC version was always on the cards when a PC version was briefly listed on the official Spyro website.

News of the PC version comes via a Taiwanese ratings board. They've certified Spyro: Reignited Trilogy for release on PC, complete with box art that confirms Iron Galaxy will be handling the port duties. Iron Galaxy also worked on the PC version of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, so it seems fairly safe to assume we can expect some solid PC performance.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy includes the first three Spyro games remade from the ground up with massively enhanced visuals - Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

Whoosh, what a world we live in. Soon enough, both the Spyro trilogy and the Crash Bandicoot trilogies will be available on PC in all their 4K glory. Who'd have thought that five years ago? They're 20-year-old games of course, so it would be difficult to say the wait has been worth it, but these remakes are a great way for new fans to get grips with these old franchises.

Original Story: 21-Jul-2018 - Spyro Reignited Trilogy Listed for PC and Nintendo Switch on Official Site

By now one of the worst-kept secrets since Trump's toupee, the official Spyro: Reignited Trilogy listed the upcoming game for both PC and Nintendo Switch. Or at least it did, until the Switch and PC versions were hurriedly taken down.

As it currently stands, Spyro: Reignited trilogy is only confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, although we’ve already had this whole song and dance with the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy being ‘exclusive’ to PS4. Basically, it’s almost certainly going to happen but Activision doesn’t it to be public knowledge just yet, for whatever reason.

It’s not the first time we’ve heard about Spyro busting out of its shackles on  PS4 and Xbox One either. Back when the remastered collection of Spyro games was originally announced, an official page on the Nintendo Switch eShop went live on the same day claiming it was coming to Switch, before being brought down. It was basically as good as a confirmation but we’re going to have to stay on this merry-go-round for a little while longer.

Of course, if you’re planning to pick up Spyro Reignited Trilogy on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One then you’re not going to have to worry about any of these shenanigans. It’s going to be out on September 21st. For PC and Switch though, it appears as if there may be a long wait. There’s no exclusivity to speak of this time thankfully, meaning a release later in the year or, perhaps, early 2019, is looking likely.

Could actually be the first 3D game I ever played. Would love it if they ported it so I could get that nostalgia rush.

See it's like this... I want either new IPs or sequels... it's just sad that they are trying to bring over new customers/fans with old games...

Currently playing N.Sane Trilogy, can wait for Spyro. My bro and I grew up playing these.
Now if they would only remake Jak and Daxter games next....

God a Jak and Daxter remake for PC would be perfect. Not everyone liked it, but Jak X would probably end up being my favourite.

I loved Jak X as well, but I'll be happy with just seeing 1-3 being remade.

Well J&D was made by the same dev as Crash, and it's a spiritual successor to it, so I don't see why not. There are a bunch of articles on other gaming websites speculating about this. Some of the developers probably stumbled upon them, it's bound to happen.
