Square Enix has dropped the briefest of new gameplay trailers for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, showcasing all the various traversal moves at Lara Croft’s disposal. This includes rock climbing, grappling, rope swinging, and that nifty moved they nicked from Prince of Persia where you use a vine to run along a wall.
“Swan dive into Shadow of the Tomb Raider with a brand new set of traversal techniques”, says developer Eidos Montreal. You’ll have to correct me if I’m wrong though, but I’m not entirely sure that any of these maneuvers are actually new to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. To the best of my knowledge, all of these moves were in Rise of the Tomb Raider, perhaps with the exception of the air grapple, which I could be getting mixed up with Uncharted 4. The two series are so alike these days it can be easy to gloop them all together. I'd love to be corrected though!
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 14th.
