From Software has revealed a big batch of screenshots from its upcoming ultra-hard hack ‘n’ slash, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Having not really checked back in on the game since the E3 2018 reveal trailer, it’s actually looking gorgeous. On a capable PC powering a 4K display, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice look fantastic.
It’s somewhat lacking in terms of pure polygon-pushing, as we’ve come to expect from FromSoft, but the art design is fantastic, particularly in the ominous looking boss fight set in fields of waving grass. Compared to Dark Souls, Sekiro will have a greater focus on nimble movement and verticality, as shown in a few screenshots with the grappling ability.
If you’re thinking all that movements going to make Sekiro an easier experience though, then think again. From Software studio head Hidetaka Miyazaki has promised this is going to be a much more difficult game than even the Souls series.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at some point in 2019. As an aside, it’s also going to be the first FromSoft game to be published by ye olde Acitivison.
