Ubisoft has revealed more than five minutes of new Assassin’s Creed Odyssey footage, this time providing players with a nice in-depth look at Ancient Athens. At the time, Athens was the centre for all things arts, learning and philosophy, although we suspect our assassin will be here for altogether more nefarious reasons.

This footage is a little more sedate than we usually expect from an Assassin’s Creed trailer, preferring to take us on a picturesque tour of the bustling city streets rather than showing us some token gut-stabbing.

Unsurprisingly, AC Odyssey’s recreation of Ancient Athens is looking absolutely stunning. There’s perhaps an argument that it looks a little too similar to some of Origins’ cities but once Ubisoft set Origins during the fall of the Egyptian empire it sort of backed itself into a corner there.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 5th.
