Yesterday we took a look at the swathes of AAA behemoths coming our way in the next four weeks, but there's also a bundle of potential indie gems also hitting in September 2018.

Dungeon-crawling fans are set for an absolute treat this month with the duo of Underworld Ascendant and The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep. Both games have already achieved success on Kickstarter, and they've got a couple of industry legends involved with Warren Spector and Brian Fargo respectively.

Elsewhere, Star Control: Origins marks the return of another classic and beloved franchise, while Planet Alpha continues the sci-fi theme with its oddball platforming antics. Planet Alpha's already scooped up a few awards so it should be one to watch.

Wow, I kickstarted that Grimshade game and had no idea it was coming out so soon. The KS page still says sometime in November.
