A new PC trailer for Valkyria Chronicles 4, showing off the game’s fairly unique blend of turn-based tactics and action-based real-time movement. For the uninitiated, the player has full control of a character during a turn, but every action and movement burns the energy bar down. It’s turn-based tactics but with far more granular decision-making.
From the name of the trailer, I mistakenly assumed this trailer would be all about the PC-exclusive graphical effects and options, but it turns out I was totally wrong. This is purely footage taken from the PC version of Valkyria Chronicles 4, although the PS4 button prompts is certainly reason for doubt.
And look, if you want to know about the PC-exclusive features for Valkyria Chronicles 4, it’s like this: up to 4K resolution support, customisable keyboard and mouse controls, ultra-widescreen support, achievements, and Steam trading cards. Kinda bare bones but VC4 should play and look best on PC. The only downside for PC players in there’s sadly no demo for Valkyria Chronicles 4, unlike on consoles.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 is out on September 25th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
