If there’s one thing anyone can get behind, it’s the bizarre and needlessly complex ways in which targets can be executed in Hitman. After all, why be hyper-efficient with a long-range silenced sniper rifle when you can become a target’s caddy and provide them with an exploding golf ball. On that front, the upcoming Hitman 2 probably isn’t going to disappoint. IO Interactive has had another couple of years to dream up increasingly surreal methods to end someone’s existence, as ably demonstrated in the new Tools of the Trade trailer for Hitman 2.
If IO is being smart about it, they’re keeping the most inventive kills under their hats, although I have to admit to being particularly keen on the garden hose plus electricity combo. The poor sap never saw it coming. Oh, and killing someone with a falling bunch of coconuts using a high-powered sniper rifle, ingenious.
Hitman 2 is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 13th, this time launching with six levels right out of the box. Spoiler Warning: Those six levels will be the Miami Grand Prix event shown at the reveal, the Colombian rainforest, India, New Zealand, suburban USA, and an oil rig in the North Sea.
