Total War: Warhammer 2’s DLC roll-out has much slower and more considered than Creative Assembly’s original, but the grand strategy sequel will be getting a fresh lease of life next month with the launch of Curse of the Vampire Coast, a new campaign pack based upon Lustria’s easterly coast.

The Curse of the Vampire Coast expansion for Total War: Warhammer 2 introduces four Legendary Pirate Lords to the mix, heralding gun-wielding vampires, giant crabs, ghoulish revenants, and zombie pirates. Playable in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns, Curse of the Vampire Coast adds a new Lore of Magic, pirate-themed campaign mechanics, and a cataclysmic end-game battle.

“The erratic power of the Great Vortex has awoken Amanar, a vast and ancient Merwyrm”, says Creative Assembly. “It terrorizes the Vampire Coast, attacking ports on a whim and summoning colossal sea-storms in its wake. Each of the Legendary Lords seeks not to harness the power of the Vortex, but to locate and empower the fabled Star-Metal Harpoon – the only weapon capable of bending the beast to their will, and securing their reputation as the most infamous pirate lord on the high seas!”

Total Warhammer 2: Curse of the Vampire Coast will be coming to PC on November 8th, priced at £13.99.
