Just like the game itself, the system requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales have chopped and changed over the last few months. With the October 23rd launch imminent though, CD Projekt RED has settled on the system specs. Originally set to be included with Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales has spiraled into its own 30-hour long RPG, swapping traditional combat for card battling. At first blush, Thronebreaker looks like an RPG that should be playable on just about any system, but let's see how that shakes out...

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Celeron G1820 2.7 GHz or AMD APU A4-7300 3.7 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 1 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GT 730 or Radeon R7 240
  • DX: DirectX 11

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7 GHz or AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7 265
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 15 GB Available Hard Drive Space

In a nutshell, Thronebreaker is the perfect RPG for gamers who struggle to run the mighty The Witcher 3. It's absolute laptop fodder; the sort of game you can throw onto just about any system and be confident it'll run. Even if you're scratching down near the minimum requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, the turn-based Gwent gameplay means a steady frame rate isn't massively important.

What this means for anyone with an actual, modern gaming PC, is, unsurprisingly, you're going to be able to run Thronebreaker without any trouble. Heck, you can probably play it at 4K 60FPS - go wild.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. I am not trolling and why am I down-voted? Lol :)
The Witcher franchise is my favorite of all time!

I was just being comedic, After all 'Shut Up and Take My Money' has been used for absolute garbage disguised as games. Here's a game that actually deserves people's money.

No sense of humor. Oh well :)

Sorry, it's just that it can be incredibly difficult to read someones tone in written word sometimes. That's also why I didn't thumbs down you, you've still got my thumbs up.

I'm not the biggest Gwent fan in the world, but I am getting this. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds and how you're actions impact the game. It looks amazing.
