Ubisoft has revealed a brand spanking new trailer for AC: Odyssey’s Legacy of the First Blade premium story DLC. Legacy of the First Blade is the first of two major expansions for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. ACO: Legacy of the First Blade DLC introduces the first assassin to ever use the iconic Hidden Blade, providing the background history of the formation of the Assassins Brotherhood.

AC: Odyssey - Legacy of the First Blade is coming to all platforms on December 4th, and if it’s anything like Origins’ expansions it should be a lengthy beast. However, Ubisoft is splitting it up into three episodes that will drop monthly, so you’re going to need to be patient to see it through to its conclusion.

Anyway, back to the trailer. Can I recommend watching with subtitles on for lots of SHING, SWASHING, CRACK and SNARL.

In addition to the DLC, Ubisoft is also pushing out a new update for ACO that adds the Mastery Levels system. If you’ve already played the game for 100+ hours and maxed out the level of your character at level 50, you’re probably wondering what else there is to do. Well, Mastery Levels allows players to further increase their Hunter, Warrior and Assassin proficiencies, stacking additional passive bonuses on top for each Master Level. There are 72 distinct Mastery Levels to choose from, while each Mastery Level can be upgraded 20 times. This comes to a frankly worrisome 1,440 maximum Mastery Levels. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has gone full-blown Diablo in its old age.

Is anybody still thirsty for more AC: Odyssey? Will you be piling many more hours into getting those Mastery Levels? Let us know!

Hey dude, we've got nearly identical rigs! What graphics settings r u playing it on? I think my i5's bottlenecking the 580. I manage around 30 fps on high settings with depth of field off and volumetric clouds on low. AA is on medium.

I'm playing on on mixed Medium/High settings at 36FPS (1/2 refresh rate of 72Hz) at 120% res scale so equal to 1080p.
AA: High (Medium means 90% res and Low 80% so avoid them, unless you use adaptive AA which switches them on the fly)
Shadows: High (in Anthens at night I use Medium since shadows cast by torches kill FPS)
Fog: Medium (only seems a bit darker than High)
Clouds: Medium (Low looks bad imo)
Ambient Occlusion: Medium (this is a must for stable FPS for me)
DoF: Low (doesn't look different imo, background blur is blur)
Everything else on High.
Very stable performance even in cities, real-time cutscenes and fights.

I'll try your settings and get back to you. One thing I noticed is that you're running on a low resolution but have upscaled to 1080p is that equal to true 1080p?

Yes, it should be 1080p: 900p = 1600x900, so 120% per dimension = 1920x1080 = 1080p
(1600 x 1.2 = 1920
900 x 1.2 = 1080)
