If you're an absolute nerd for investigative drama like yours truly, then Disco Elysium's blend of hard-boiled cop drama and isometric RPG goodness is a match made in heaven. Trot around an open-world town solving a single open-ended case, question witnesses, interrogating suspects and piecing together the clues. Disco Elysium, previously known as No Truce with the Furies, has some gorgeous old-school isometric visuals to bring it alive, which could make it the perfect fodder for those long train journeys.

Modest in the extreme is perhaps the best way to describe the Disco Elysium PC system requirements. A classic isometric RPG at its heart, Disco Elysium should work on just about any modern system out there, including many that utilise integrated graphics.
Visually, Disco Elysium looks a lot like Pillars of Eternity and Torment: Tides of Numenera, so we're expecting fairly similar levels of performance. Ultimately you're going only need to a very modest 1 or 2GB video card to play Disco Elysium at its highest settings at 1080p, paired with a low-end first gen Intel Core processor such as the i3-2115C or an AMD equivalent like Phenom 8550 Triple-Core. These CPUs are absolutely ancient by today's standards so we don't really see these requirements be an issue for many PC gamers at all.

We need more games like this, the hard-boiled cop genre is usually ignored in gaming. There is something purely satisfying in filling the shoes of a cynical cop that struggles with his own sense of justice. Disco Elysium is on my radar of interest!
