It’s been a five-year slog but Capybara's Below finally has a release date, and we don’t have long to wait.

The top-down rogue-like dungeon crawler was one of the big indies used to showcase the Xbox One when it was first revealed all the way back in 2013. We’ve had a new Xbox console since then, and rumours of another gen right around the corner, but at long last Below will be ours. Let’s just hope it’s been worth the wait…

Below will release a week on Friday, on December 14th, for PC and Xbox One. It’s going to be available through Steam on PC, thankfully, so no messing around with the Windows Store.

Just to sate your appetite somewhat, Capabara has revealed a typically gorgeous new trailer for Below. It’s still looking every bit as fantastic as it did, using a minimalist art-style with some moody lighting to portray this lonely journey through the depths of a rain-soaked haunted isle.
